Gravana works because students don’t just learn new skills – they apply them at each stage of the learning process. Unlike traditional grammar education, which uses memorization and worksheets, Gravana gives students a chance to put their new skills into action.
The curriculum follows Bloom’s Taxonomy hierarchy of high-level thinking in each stage of Gravana’s pathway. For example, no longer can a student circle every word that ends in ‘-ly’ to prove mastery over adverbs; the student understands the “why” behind the content.
